MODEL TRAINING PROGRAM!!!
Pure Fashion Models are guided to embrace their authentic beauty and to come to understand that they are children of God. Our eight-month Model Training Program begins in September and will end with a dymanic fashion event showing the latest spring fashions and designs in 2009! Stay tuned for more information!
Pure Fashion Information Meetings: August, 2008
All applicants will be invited to an Information Meeting before the model selection process is complete. Dates and times of all Pure Fashion sessions will be provided. This meeting will be mandatory for all applicants
Pure Fashion Opening Session
Welcome from the Pure Fashion team to the 2008-2009 Pure Fashion Models! Introduction talk on "What is a Model of Pure Fashion?" Discussion and distribution of Pure Fashion Creed. Integration activities and pizza party!
Elegant Expressions
Atlanta's Pure Fashion Models are going to be leaders and trendsetters and therefore, need to fine-tune their communication skills. We'll cover overcoming stage fright, how to write a talk or presentation, refining your voice and mannerisms, and becoming effective in conveying your message.
Pure Dressing 101
Pure Fashion models understand that they have dignity as children of God and their clothing and accessory choices should reflect that to the world! In this segment, we'll cover clothing and accessory options in detail.
Pure Dating
In this segment, Pure Fashion Models will hear a presentation on the ABC's of Dating, as well as hear from special guest speakers about how young women can protect their dignity, while still enjoying their friend's company. Pure Fashion Models may invite Dad, a Grandfather, Uncle or older Brother to enjoy this session with them!
Pure Fashion Outreach
"Blessed are the pure in heart..." As the Pure Fashion Models prepare their hearts for the holiday season, what could be a more beautiful way for them to display their true beauty than by creating an opportunity for them to love and serve others. Models will help those in need, while cultivating the virtues of charity and generosity. Authentic beauty stems from a heart filled with love and concern for others.
Hair and Make-up Day
As a Pure Fashion model, you will receive a complimentary haircut and color from one of Atlanta's premier hair salons, Siggers Hairdressers! In addition, you will be invited to the salon for a workshop in makeup and hair styling. On this day you will also have your Pure Fashion headshot taken which will be used in the program book at the Pure Fashion Show in April. The Pure Fashion models will also receive their own "Pure Fashion" make-up kit with the make-up and tools they need to enhance their own natural beauty! This will be a fun day for the girls to learn make-up tips and hairstyling techniques from some of Atlanta's most talented hair and makeup artists! There will be a team of professional models, hairstylists and makeup artists on hand to assist in giving each young woman the necessary personal attention needed to learn the art of makeup application and modern hairstyling.
Heart and Soul Make-over
Our weekend retreat will be a wonderful opportunity for the girls to "get away", have fun with each other, and focus on the reasons behind choosing to be "modest and pure". Some of the topics to be discussed on the retreat will include: looking back to see how fashions have changed over the past 100 yrs., view a slide show on the do’s and don'ts of dressing to protect one’s innocence and purity, how to support retailers and designers who support and promote values and virtues, learning how to be modest but still "modern" and "stylish". Special sessions for Moms on Friday night and Sunday.
Runways of Life
Not only will Atlanta's Pure Fashion Models talk the talk, they'll walk the walk -- with elegance, confidence, grace and dignity! Our body language and posture speak volumes, before we even say a word. Pure Fashion aims to develop personal confidence through instruction on walking, sitting, standing like a young lady -- because we never get a second chance to make a first impression!
Fittings
All Pure Fashion Models must be available for fittings. This is an exciting week in Pure Fashion as we work through the final touches and prepare for the Pure Fashion Show!
