Celebration of Style and Virtue!
The Charlotte Pure Fashion model training program for 2011-2012 will include many fun and exciting opportunities for a young lady's personal and physical development! Classes will include everything from how to walk the runway, hair and make-up lessons, developing public speaking skills, how to dress appropriately for every occasion, and improving manners. Pure Fashion models will also participate in an outreach project. The training sessions will be offered over a course of 7 months beginning September and culminating with the Pure Fashion Show in the spring of 2012. Participation is open to girls in grades 8-12 or ages 14-18.
Applications for 2011 - 2012 will be accepted until Thursday, October 22, 2011.
The following is an outline of the 2011-2012 Pure Fashion Model Formation program designed to help teen girls develop into confident, virtuous, competent women. For as Aristotle said, "Happiness is a life of virtue." Don't miss out on this exciting program where you, or someone you know, can become a model of style and virtue. Please note that minor changes in the calendar may be necessary as the 2011-2012 program is finalized.
Opening Session: Orientation Sunday
Sunday, October TBA registration begins at 1:30
Welcome from the Pure Fashion committee. You and your mom will meet the Pure Fashion organizational committee and learn what it means to be a Pure Fashion model. The Pure Fashion "Creed" will be distributed and reviewed. We'll have snacks and watch clips from last year's fashion show!
Heart & Soul Day-Retreat: Project Runway Saturday
Saturday, TBA 10:00 AM - 2:00PM
This retreat will help develop the model's awareness that the fashion industry mitigates against true beauty and to commit them to working toward a culture of authentic beauty. The girls will learn about purity and how to live it personally, in their relationships with others, and with God.
Mother Daughter Tea
Sunday, November TBA 2:00 PM - 4:30 PM
Get ready to be treated like a princess while learning how to act like one, too! An afternoon focusing on "Pure Manners and Social Graces." Our young ladies will be reminded of the necessity of good manners which encourage respect and decency. The models will be inspired to act in accordance with their dignity as confident, capable, respectable young women. Price of the model's tea is included in the training program. Mothers/guests can order their tickets in October.
Christmas Mission - Blessed are the Pure of Heart
Saturday, December TBA 12:00 PM - 3:00 PM
As the Pure Fashion models prepare their hearts for the Holiday Season, what could be a more beautiful way to display their true beauty than by creating an opportunity for them to love and serve others. Our Pure Fashion models will have an opportunity to do an outreach project and help those in need while cultivating the virtues of charity and generosity. For as we know, authentic beauty stems from a heart filled with love and concern for others.
Reflections
Sunday, January TBA individual times will be assigned
- Appointment times will be assigned between 11:30 & 3:15
- Each appointment is 3 1/2 hours
- The day will conclude at 6:30 PM
As a Pure Fashion model, you will receive a complimentary haircut from one of Charlotte's premier hair salons. In addition, you will be invited to the salon for a workshop in makeup and hairstyling. Your Pure Fashion headshot photo taken which will be used in the program book at the Pure Fashion Show in March. This will be a fun day for the girls to learn tips and hairstyling techniques from some of Charlotte's most talented hair and make-up artists!
Elegant Expression
Sunday, February TBA 2:00 PM - 4:30 PM
Charlotte's Pure Fashion Models are going to be leaders and trendsetters, and will therefore benefit by developing their communication skills. Models will develop confidence as they learn that their fresh and virtuous message captivates their audience. They will learn about overcoming stage fright and how to write and give a talk or presentation.
Before the Show
Fittings and final rehearsals. This is an exciting week in Pure Fashion as we go through the final touches and prepare for our big show!

All Pure Fashion models must be available for fittings. Fittings will take approximately 2 hours and will be scheduled from 4:00-7:00 PM.
Friday night prior to show
The Fashion Show rehearsal is MANDATORY for all models.
Runways of Life and Show Rehearsal
Friday, TBA 5:30 - 9:30 PM
Charlotte's Pure Fashion models will not only talk the talk but they will walk the walk... with elegance, confidence, grace and dignity! Our body language and posture speak volumes before we even say a word! Pure Fashion aims to develop personal confidence through instruction on walking, sitting and standing like a young lady... because we never get a second chance to make a first impression.
The Fashion Show
March or April TBA Doors will open 45 minutes prior to show
It's Showtime!! Our Fifth Annual Charlotte Pure Fashion Show is sure to be the hottest ticket in town!
Participation in all of the scheduled sessions is required. Any model who misses more than one training session, will not be ale to model in the fashion show. In addition, all rehearsals and fittings are mandatory for participation in the fashion show.
End of the Year Celebration
May or June
Models will gather together for food, fun and fellowship while watching the Fashion Show DVD.
Through the program, all the Pure Fashion models will receive:
- A free hair cut and make-up consultation
- Professional training from talented guest speakers
- Pure Fashion make-up
- Pure Fashion t-shirt
- a DVD of the 2012 Pure Fashion Show

Program fee for 2011-2012 is $250.00
Please know that scholarships are available.
Models must be in grades 8-12 or 14-18 years old.

Acceptance letters will be sent out via email. Program fees will be due with the Model's acceptance.
