The Pure Fashion Model Training Program

During the 2007-08 academic year, the Pure Fashion Chicago team will be promoting and planning to make next year the best program to date!
If you are interested in being a model for the 2008-2009 Pure Fashion season or promoting Pure Fashion in your school, parish or community, please apply online by clicking Become a Model.
Please be aware that training sessions are mandatory. In order to participate in the program and the show, we ask for a full commitment from all models to be at each and every training session.

Over the course of the coming months, our expert consultants will help you find the best hairstyle and makeup to bring out your own unique beauty, teach you to navigate the runway with grace and confidence, develop your public speaking skills, acquire exquisite table manners and learn to dress appropriately and stylishly for any occasion! Polish your inner beauty by helping the needy in our community with a daylong mission just before Christmas. Escape from it all in January at the 2008 Model Makeover Weekend. This getaway is designed to help you consolidate all you’ve learned, forge deeper friendships, and explore the practical and spiritual reasons for choosing modesty and purity for your own life! Session 1
Welcome to Pure Fashion: Introduction to Pure Fashion Basics and the 2007-08 program. Music, refreshments, our core convictions and mingling with the other Models will be included. Mothers or legal guardians are asked to attend.
Session 2
Mother and Daughter Lunch: Lunch and Etiquette, Pure Fashion’s Priority Accessory! Our guest speaker and former model, Christina Baker, will address daughters over lunch about the finer points of etiquette and elegant table manners. Moms will also have a special guest speaker. The luncheon is included in the training program fee.
Session 3
Angel For A Day Mission: Models will have the opportunity to be angels for a day for the children of St. Stan's in Chicago at their annual festival for Our Lady of Guadaloupe.
Session 4
Pure Fashion Makeover Weekend: Renewing Your Beauty Inside and Out! Models get away, have fun, and reflect on the deeper meanings of modesty and purity. Topics will include fashion tips, shopping tips and body types, as well as looking-good "dos and don'ts", supporting retailers who promote modest clothing, learning how to dress modestly yet modern and why, purity you can live with, and the secret to dignity and radiant beauty. Clothing guidelines and shopping tips will be given as well as a fun activities during which to put these guidelines into practice. Formal registration with Mission Network, Pure Fashion's umbrella organization (registration page), and Mission Network's permission slip signed by a parent or guardian is necessary for participation (downloadable form).
Session 5
Pure Fashion Hair and Make-up Day! Professional hair stylists and make-up artists will share their tips showing each model how to radiate beauty! Each model will consult peronally with a stylist. Headshots will be taken for the Pure Fashion Show program booklet.
Session 6
Poise and Presentation: Models will learn the art of effective communication through public speaking skills and confident posture. Professor of Journalism and Media Studies and former news anchor, Lisa Pecot-Hebert, will demonstrate how to walk and talk with authority, providing the tools for models to gain confidence, grace and style in their everyday interactions with others.

Pure Fashion Rehearsal: Show details will be reviewed.
Additional Pure Fashion Rehearsal and Closing Mass: Guest speaker Leah Darrow, a professional model and former contestant on America's Next Top Model, will show you how to walk the runway for the show, as well as give her inspirational talk on walking the runways of life! Show details will be reviewed.

Pure Fashion Re-cap: 2009 Pure Fashion show highlights and "best-of" stories. Exit interviews, Pure Fashion summer outreach activities and guidelines for next year's applications to be a 2008-2009 Pure Fashion model.
The non-refundable cost of the program is $400 per model, which includes 2 tickets to the fashion show, the Mother/Daughter lunch, the January weekend retreat, a professional hair styling, a professional portrait, speakers' fees, and several model gifts. Fundraising opportunities are available to help cover the cost.
