The Pure Fashion Model Training Program
2008/09
Dates and times are preliminary and subject to change. They do however reflect the level of time commitment demanded of the 2008/09 Pure Fashion models.
Are you eager to present your best self? Are you confident but want to exude grace, style and elegance, also? Would you like to learn more about the Feminine Genius? If so, then the Pure Fashion Model Training Program is the right fit for you. Over the course of the coming months, our expert consultants and speakers will help you find your best style to bring out your unique beauty and grace, teach you to navigate not only the runway with confidence but your life with purpose, develop your public speaking and leadership skills, acquire exquisite table manners while learning optimal nutrition and gain the insight as to how to dress deliberately and appropriately for any occasion. Our daylong mission just before Christmas will give you the chance to spread the word about the Modesty Movement. And our 2009 Model Makeover Weekend will bring it all together. This getaway is designed to help you consolidate all you’ve learned, forge deeper friendships, and explore the practical and spiritual reasons for choosing modesty and purity for your own life! Call your best friend and sign up together. It will be the first step on the road to a "New You" and a better world!
The cost of the 2008/09 program is $295. This amount covers, the model’s ticket to the Father-Daughter Luncheon at the Willard and the cost of the Pure Fashion Makeover Weekend in 2008/09, as well as speaker fees.
New applications to the Model Training Program will be taken on an ongoing basis and reviewed in August (rolling admission). Sixty models will be accepted. Applicants who have paid the registration fee will be notified in mid-August if they have been accepted for the 2008/09 Model Training Program. Application deadline is midnight, September 30, 2009.
Leadership Track
Depending on numbers, returning 2008 models and supermodels will receive life coaching, leadership training and advanced formation, building on material from the previous year.

Father-Daughter Luncheon at the Willard: Lunch and Dating Etiquette and tips, Pure Fashion’s Priority Accessory! Our etiquette speaker will address the fathers and daughters over a hearty lunch! Professional or Sunday best attire, please. Willard Intercontinental Washington, 1401 Pennsylvania Avenue NW, Washington, DC 20004 (map it). While the Willard offers valet parking at $29, there are more economical parking alternatives in the immediate viscinity. The Willard can also be reached by Metro; take the Red, Blue or Orange Line to Metro Center (station viscinity map, hotel near the middle of the left edge of the map) or the Blue or Orange Line to Federal Triangle (station viscinity map, hotel near the upper left corner of the map). While the model's Model Training Program fee covers her participation at the luncheon, tickets for fathers and extra guests can be purchased for $48.

Pure Fashion Hair and Make-up Tips! The professional hair stylists and make-up artists at Salon Daniel in McLean, Va. (map it), will share their tips showing each model how to radiate beauty! Pure Fashion headshots will be taken for the Pure Fashion Show program booklet. For parking, from Old Dominion Dr. turn into Beverly Rd. (right when approaching from Chain Bridge Dr., left when approaching from Dolly Madison Blvd., VA-123) and enter the Marketplace Shopping Center parking garage on the right; take the elevator to the 2nd floor. Pure Fashion Makeover Weekend: Renewing Your Beauty Inside and Out! Models get away, have fun, and reflect on the deeper meanings of modesty and purity. Topics will include a fashion tips, shopping tips and body types, as well as looking-good "dos and don'ts", supporting retailers who promote modest clothing, learning how to dress modestly yet modern and why, purity you can live with, and the secret to dignity and radiant beauty. Clothing guidelines and purchasing procedures for the fashion show apparel will be given. Update: Parents are invited and strongly encouraged to come the weekend’s closing Mass at 11 AM. Model Presentation and Runway Training Day: Models will learn the art of effective communicating, through both speaking and walking skills. Professionals will demonstrate how to walk and talk with authority, providing the tools for models to gain confidence, grace and style in their everyday interactions with others.
