Do you love to look your best but want a few more tips? Do you wish you could present yourself with more confidence and style? What is the secret to the feminine mystery? Find out by joining Pure Fashion Washington, D.C.’s Model Training Program!

Over the course of the coming months, our expert consultants and speakers will help you find your best style to bring out your unique beauty and grace, teach you to navigate not only the runway with confidence but your life with purpose, develop your public speaking and leadership skills, acquire exquisite table manners while learning optimal nutrition and gain the insight as to how to dress deliberately and appropriately for any occasion. Our daylong mission will give you the chance to spread the word about the Modesty Movement. And our 2012 Model Makeover Weekend will bring it all together. This getaway is designed to help you consolidate all you’ve learned, forge deeper friendships, and explore the practical and spiritual reasons for choosing modesty and purity for your own life! The cost of the 2011/12 program is $325. This amount covers, the model’s ticket to the Mother-Daughter Tea at the Willard and the cost of the Pure Fashion Makeover Weekend in 2012, as well as speaker fees.

New applications to the Model Training Program will be taken on an ongoing basis and reviewed in August (rolling admission). Sixty models will be accepted. Applicants who have paid the application fee will be notified in mid-August if they have been accepted for the 2011/12 Model Training Program. Application deadline is midnight, September 30, 2011.

Leadership Track

All 2nd and 3rd year models are eligible to give talks and serve as Pure Fashion Ambassadors, Spa Team Leaders as well as Pure Fashion Summer Camp Team Leaders. After two years of participation with Pure Fashion, models are eligible upon invitation from the director to become Team Leaders for Freshman Models.

Welcome to Pure Fashion: Introduction and Pure Fashion Basics and the Feminine Genius from nutrition to lifestyle to character formation and a touch of Theology of the Body. Mother-Daughter Tea at the Willard: Tea and etiquette, Pure Fashion’s priority accessory! Our keynote speaker will address the mothers and daughters over a lovely three-course tea! Professional or Sunday best attire, please; click on Modesty Guidelines in the menu bar above. Willard Intercontinental Washington, 1401 Pennsylvania Avenue NW, Washington, DC 20004 (map it). While the Willard offers valet parking at $29, there are more economical parking alternatives in the immediate viscinity. The Willard can also be reached by Metro; take the Red, Blue or Orange Line to Metro Center (station viscinity map, hotel near the middle of the left edge of the map) or the Blue or Orange Line to Federal Triangle (station viscinity map, hotel near the upper left corner of the map).

The model’s admission to the Tea is included in the fee for the Model Training Program. Please use PayPal to pay for mothers and additional guests.

Leadership Training and Messaging: Models will learn leadership that stems from the art of effective communicating, through not only their personal presentation and walking skills, but also how they speak and present the Pure Fashion message. Salon Day! The professional hair stylists and make-up artists at Salon Daniel in McLean, Va. (map it), will share their tips showing each model how to radiate beauty! Pure Fashion headshots will be taken for the Pure Fashion Show program booklet. Professional attire, please--and nice colorful, solid top for photo; click on Modesty Guidelines in the menu bar above.  For parking, from Old Dominion Dr. turn into Beverly Rd. (right when approaching from Chain Bridge Dr., left when approaching from Dolly Madison Blvd., VA-123) and enter the Marketplace Shopping Center parking garage on the right; take the elevator to the 2nd floor.

Pure Fashion Makeover Weekend: Renewing Your Beauty Inside and Out! Models get away, have fun, and reflect on the deeper meanings of modesty and purity. Topics will include a fashion tips, shopping tips and body types, as well as looking-good “dos and don’ts”, and why, purity you can live with, and the secret to dignity and radiant beauty. Clothing guidelines and purchasing procedures for the fashion show apparel will be given. Pure Fashion Mall Mission: Models will have the opportunity to be Pure Fashion ambassadors to retailers and shoppers at an area mall, as they review the new spring season trends. Montgomery Mall, Bethesda (map it). This mall provides ample garage parking.

Returning models will be participating in a Pure Fashion T.L.C. Spa Day for middle school girls serving as mentors and team leaders. The Woods Academy, 6801 Greentree Rd., Bethesda, MD 20817 (map it).

Outfit Assessment and Runway Training: Models will have all outfits assessed for the show based on Modesty Guidelines (click on Modesty Guidelines in the menu bar above) and criteria provided at the Weekend Getaway. Only appropriately modest outfits presented and assessed at this session qualify to be in the show.
