Pure Fashion 2008 model training program is designed to provide opportunities for personal and spiritual enrichment while inspiring each girl to embrace her femininity as a gift from God. Through the model training sessions, the young women will discover their beauty, authentic confidence, virtue and joy.

Welcome from the 2007-2008 Pure Fashion committee. You and your parents will meet the Pure Fashion organizational team and learn what it means to be a Pure Fashion model. We will conclude with dessert as we watch highlights from the Atlanta 2007 Pure Fashion Show.

Mother Daughter Luncheon

Des Moines Golf and Country Club

Our models will join with their mothers for an afternoon luncheon at Des Moines Golf and Country Club. Our guest speaker Callista Gould, will inspire our Pure Fashion models with lessons of ettiquette and grace as they strive to act in accordance with dignity as confident, capable, respectful young women.

Mission Project: Sharing Beauty with Others

As the Pure Fashion models prepare their hearts for the Lenten Season, what could be a more beautiful way to display their true beauty than by creating an opportunity for them to love and serve others? Our Pure Fashion models will have an opportunity to do an outreach project and help those in need while cultivating the virtues of charity and generosity. As we know, authentic beauty stems from a heart filled with love and concern for others. Details on the outreach program will soon be announced.

Reflections:Professional Hair and Make-up Artistry
February 2, 2008

As a Pure Fashion model, you will be invited to one of Des Moines’ premier salons for a workshop in makeup and hairstyling. On this day, you will also have your Pure Fashion headshot taken which will be used in the show program. The 2008 Pure Fashion models will also receive their own “Pure Fashion” make-up kit to enhance their own natural beauty! This will be a fun day for the models to learn make-up tips and hairstyling techniques from some of Des Moines’ most talented hair and make up artists. We will begin our Sap Day with a mother/daughter brunch.

Heart and Soul Makeover Weekend Retreat

March 1-2, 2008

Discover your beauty inside and out. Is it time for a faith-lift? Ever been to a Spa for the Soul? Get ready for a weekend makeover that is out of this world. This is your chance discover your inner beauty. Des Moines Pure Fashion models will be trendsetters and thus need the tools to effectively communicate their message of virtue. Guest speakers will be working with models to develop skills in public speaking and modest dress while helping them encounter the personal love God has for each of them.

Runways for Life

Learn to be a true model of the Great Designer with elegance, confidence, grace and dignity! Our body language and posture speaks volumes, before we even say a word. Pure Fashion aims to develop confidence. Girls will be instructed on walking, sitting and standing like a lady. They will also work with our production team as they prepare for the Pure Fashion show.
