We're really excited to announce that Pure Fashion will be coming for the first time to the Putnam County area in 2009! The Putnam County Pure Fashion model training program will include many fun and exciting opportunities for a young lady's personal and physical development. Our program is designed to help teen girls develop into confident, virtuous, competent women. For as Aristotle said, "Happiness is a life of virtue." Don't miss out on this exciting program where you, or someone you know, can become a model of style and virtue.
Sessions will include everything from how to walk the runway, hair and make-up lessons, developing public speaking skills, how to dress appropriately for every occasion, and improving manners. The 2009 Pure Fashion models will also participate in an outreach program.
Online applications for models are now being accepted. Participation is open to girls ages 14 (by the end of January) to 18. All you need to do is go to our online application, fill it out, and click "submit". The deadline for applications has been extended to January 8, 2009. You will be notified by email of your selection immediatly following the deadline. The fee for the model training program will be $100.00 that covers surprise gifts at the modeling sessions, photographing, professional training through the National Office of Pure Fashion and some of the cost of the sessions. All efforts will be made to offset costs but there may be some fees for those sessions that involve meals. The registration fee is due at the first session along with your online registration receipt on January 10th, 2009 (See below for details on Spotlight on Beauty) Payment options are available upon request.
Our Model Training Program Schedule
The training sessions will be offered over the course of 8 months which will culminate with the Pure Fashion Show on August 30, 2009.
Below you will find an outline of the 2009 Pure Fashion Model Formation Program. Please note that minor changes may be necessary as the 2009 program is finalized.
Participation in all of the scheduled sessions is required. Any model who misses more than one training session, will not be able to model in the fashion show. In addition, all rehearsals and fittings are mandatory for participation in the fashion show.
Message for moms or mother figures: You are welcome and encouraged to come to any or all sessions with your daughter as there will be breakout sessions available just for you! While your daughter is doing something she wants, you can get some 'fringe benefits' of the program, learning ways to deepen your relationship with her through fashion and virtue!

Spotlight on Beauty, January 10, 2009, Red Pig Inn, Ottawa, Ohio from 12noon to 2pm
Welcome to Pure Fashion! You and your mom/mother figure will meet the Pure Fashion organizational committee and learn what it means to be a Pure Fashion model. The session will end with a pizza party where you can meet the other models and watch clips from a Pure Fashion show.
Elegant Expressions, February 7, 2009, time and location to be announced
Pure Fashion models are going to be the future’s leaders and trendsetters, and will therefore benefit by developing their communication skills. Models will develop confidence as they learn that their fresh and virtuous message captivates their audience. They will learn about overcoming stage fright and how to write a talk or presentation.
Father Daughter Dinner, March 7, 2009, Kalida KofC, in the evening
Young ladies need fathers or father figures in their lives. They can appreciate what a father offers to them as the protector and the provider who is sometimes tough on the outside but tender on the inside. We are excited to host this banquet celebrating fatherhood!!
Reflections, April, 2009, date, time and location to be announced
Our Pure Fashion models will enjoy a fun day of learning make-up tips and hairstyling techniques from the pros. On this day you will also have your Pure Fashion glamour headshot taken which will be used in the program book at the Pure Fashion Show in August. The 2009 Pure Fashion models will also receive their own Pure Fashion make-up kit with the make-up they need to enhance their own natural beauty!
Mother Daughter Tea, May 9, 2009, time and location to be announced
Get ready to be treated like royalty while learning how to act like it, too! Our young ladies will be reminded of the necessity of good manners which encourage respect and decency. The models will be inspired to act in accordance with their dignity as confident, capable, and respectable young women.
Heart and Soul Makeover Retreat/Mission, early June, 2009, date, time and location to be announced
This retreat will be a wonderful opportunity for you to “get away,” have fun with other girls, and focus on the reasons behind choosing to be pure. After being treated with respect, you will have the opportunity to treat others with respect, showing that a real model is a role model for others. You will have an opportunity to do mission work to help those in need, while cultivating the virtues of charity and generosity.
Runways of Life, July, 2009, date, time and location to be announced
Pure Fashion’s models of modesty and purity must not only “talk the talk” but they will “walk the walk” on the runway awaiting them, as well as the runways of life. Your greatest 'accessory' will be your self-confidence, grace and style! Body language and posture speak volumes before we can even say a word. Pure Fashion aims to develop personal confidence because we never get a second chance to make a first impression.
