Pure Fashion 2008 -2009 - A Celebration of Style and Virtue!
The Pure Fashion model training program for 2008-2009 will include many fun and exciting opportunities for young ladies to know themselves on a much deeper level than before. The 7 monthly sessions will cover a wide spectrum of topics that are relevant in the lives of our young models. The variety of topics will give our models the tools and resources necessary to make wise and moral choices. The topics covered, will also give them the confidence to share and show, by their example, "that role models and real models" are one in the same.
The 2009 Pure Fashion models will have the opporunity to participate in a Christmas Outreach Project and also to attend a Pure Fashion Weekend Retreat which will offer the girls an opportunity to build friendships with the other models that may last a lifetime. The Retreat Weekend will have three important components; formation, faith and FUN! They will not want to miss this!
The successes experienced in the training program will be celebrated as the models walk the runway of Regina's second Pure Fashion Show, April 5th, 2009 at the Delta Hotel.
FYI: Modeling experience is not a requirement, however we do ask that all our young models come with an open mind, an open heart and a great attitude, because all three are vitally important if they wish to grow and learn from this extraordinary experience.

SEPTEMBER 21st, 2008 - Session #1: Part 1 - What is Pure Fashion? 2-3:30pm
All applicants and their moms need to attend this important meeting. This is mandatory for all applicants and you must be registered before attending. You and your mom will meet the Pure Fashion organizational committee and learn what it means to be a Pure Fashion Model.
SEPTEMBER 28th, 2008 - Session #1: Part 2 - Spotlight on Beauty: Models of the Great Designer
In this session you will learn to be a true model of the Great Designer with elegance, confidence, grace and dignity! You will discover your beauty inside and out; learn what it means to dress modestly and promote virtues without saying a word. We will have lots of activities for you to get to know all the models.
OCTOBER 24th - 26th, 2008 - Session #2: Heart and Soul Makeover Retreat with Face to Face Ministries
Our weekend retreat will be a wonderful opportunity for the girls to "get away", have fun with each other, and focus on the reasons behind choosing to be "modest and pure". We are pleased to have the Face to Face Ministries leading part of the Retreat. (www.facetofaceretreats.com)
It will begin on Friday at 7pm and end on Sunday at 2pm. Location to be announced.
NOVEMBER 23rd, 2008 - Session #3: Runway For Life
Part 1: Confidence in the Message of Beauty: Christy Gaudet is the Campus Team Leader for Catholic Christian Outreach in Saskatoon. She has spoken to teen girls and young women across Canada.
Part 2: Story of a Catholic Fashion Designer: Becky King is a fashion designer from Saskatoon who has a passion for her faith. She will be sharing how what God has done in her life and how she incorporates her faith into the world of fashion.
DECEMBER 14th, 2008 - Session #4: Christmas Outreach: Blessed are the Pure in Heart
A wonderful opporunity to discover that real beauty comes from a heart made for giving and service. More information to follow.
Part 1 - Our models will take part in a Christmas project for those in need.
Part 2 - "It is in giving that we receive." This is our opportunity to give our models a special Christmas party, so that we can receive the joy that comes from seeing them celebrate... the birth of Baby Jesus, Our Lord and Savior.
JANUARY 11th, 2009 - Session #5: Mother and Daughter Tea
An opportunity for our moms and daughters to come together and learn what it means to be a women of elegance and grace.
This is going to be a special afternoon so we ask that you come dressed as you would if you were going to be in the company of someone very important. Moms you will be dining with your daughters and daughters you will be dining with your moms. It does not get any more important or special than that!

FEBRUARY 8th, 2009: Reflections: Hair and Make-up Day
Part 1: Beauty Enhancement Session: All the models will have their hair and make-up done by professionals. We are still finalizing the arrangements for the location of the salon where this will take place.
Part 2: Photo Session: After the makeover session, we will have a photographer ready to take their pictures for the Fashion Show program.
MARCH 8th, 2009 - Session #7: Fitness, Fun and Public Speaking
Part 1 - Fitness and Nutrition: We all need to take care of our bodies, therefore we will learn how to incorporate fitness and nutrition into our lifestyle.
Part 2 - Public Speaking 101
APRIL 5th and APRIL 24th, 2009 - RUNWAY PRACTICE!
Part 1 & 2- The time has come to put all we have learned into practice. This afternoon will be spent preparing the models for their walk down the runway. Pulling it all together in the pre-fashion show practice. This is where we prepare to show the world....the role model....and the real model in each of the girls.
